Milly golightly

To mix things up, this time the podcast was also filmed. I spoke with Milly in her bedroom, a room that's helped her a lot with the healing process an reality of moving back home before starting her 3rd year again in September.

You're greeted with this clean aura when first entering. This freshness lingers the whole duration of your stay, and when leaving you immediately understand the 'clean space, clean mind' mantra. As a friend of hers, I can see a difference in how she is now compared to a couple months ago. Deferring for a year, in the moment, seems like the worst possible scenario, but when you strip back

the reasons for staying, it's usually exterior opinions from other people that are affecting your choice. By pushing back these social worries, Milly has been able to take a time out to nurture herself and find her love for the course again, which wouldn't have happened otherwise. As her room is something that's helped her heal and clear her headspace, so it seemed important to hold the conversation in this room and film it.

If you're thinking of dropping out or deferring for a year, I urge you to listen to Milly's podcast or watch the YouTube video because she sheds some much needed positive light on the subject, and I guarantee she has felt every emotion and thought every thought in regards to university. Debacle has covered leaving university quite a few times now on the podcast in the hopes of ditching the stigma and isolating connotations that come with it. Please reach out to us if you have any other questions or worries regarding the matter. Check out her Instagram page @millygolightly for more!

Thank you Milly.
